Stones for Brake, Horn, Marsh, and Sack from the Stoned Moon series (all 1969) cracked during printing. The editions were completed with the stones in this condition. A stone for the print Ghost (1969) was too severely fracture to complete the edition. Only two impressions in the edition were pulled, in addition to two or three proofs.

Rauschenberg’s diaristic reflections on the experience of witnessing the Apollo 11 launch at Cape Canaveral, Florida, are woven through the text collaged in the drawing.
